MONTREAL:

On October 14, 2000, I hold a press conference, announce the beginning of my world tour as a Superstar and proceed to give out 50 autographed posters of myself looking glamourous in a blond wig. At the end, a dance competition is held, with the winner receiving the last autographed poster. More than 10 people participate.

DEAR FANS,

Before continuing with her world tour, the Superstar will be vacationing on the west coast of Mexico where she will spend 7 glorious days and nights at an exclusive resort. Upon her return, you can expect a special surprise. In the meantime, you are invited to visit La Centrale where you will be able to view her latest music videos.

MEXICO:

Exhausted by the constant pressure to produce (following my exhibition "waiting for something to happen"), I book a plane ticket and fly to a resort in Mexico. With a postcard I inform La Centrale (place of my current intervention) and numerous other galleries and the media of my departure. In the gallery, I leave five music videos with me in the central role. Their intentional home-made quality reflect my intentions not to please. I hire an assistant to make necessary arrangements for my return. During my absence, my assistant, apparently uncomfortable by the emptiness I left behind, fills the gallery with balloons, fan mail and numerous other objects. After my vacation, I return to La Centrale wearing a suit, and remove everything from the space.

PRAGUE:

I promote my arrival by postering the city with an image of myself as the Superstar. At my first public appearance, I enter a display window facing a busy downtown street, tape myself to a chair, and smear myself with cake. As the crowd begins to grow, I throw the cake at the window, creating a barrier between them and myself. I scream at those that get too close. After 45 minutes, a man from the audience interrupts the performance, breaking the window and freeing me from my self-imposed imprisonment.

DESCRIPTION:

I adopt the role of a Superstar by calling press conferences, signing autographs, and sending press releases to the media, demanding their attention.
